	Click photo to view      The Colony 1 at Sea Mountain is located on the southeast coast of the Big Island in the city of Punalu'u, which is situated halfway between Hilo and Kailua-Kona and famous for it's delicious sweetbread. This resort is adjacent to the Sea Mountain Golf Course that has a driving range and 18 holes on the slopes of Mauna Loa. The legendary black sand beach of Punalu'u is within walking distance. Guests visiting from May through October may have an opportunity to see endangered Hawksbill turtles nesting in the black sand. Cars are highly recommended at this resort. The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home of both the earth's most massive and most active volcano is a half hour drive from the resort. Over half of the park is wilderness, providing hiking opportunities.
The resort offers modern conveniences in a traditional Hawaiian setting. At Sea Mountain guests will find an outdoor hot tub and pool with a view of the ocean, and direct access to the black sand beach. There are also four tennis courts and an adjacent golf course. Each spacious studio or one-bedroom unit has a deck or lanai. Studios have a kitchenette with microwave oven and dishwasher, while the one-bedroom condos have a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven, stove, refrigerator and coffeemaker. A washer and dryer, and cable television are also included. The relaxing atmosphere of the Sea Mountain Resort and the scenic location offer guests the perfect place from which to pursue paradise.
